What is a tax advance, and how does it work?
A tax advance is a loan or advance that is offered based on your anticipated tax refund. It allows you to access a portion of your refund before the IRS processes it. When your refund arrives from the IRS, the advance is deducted from your final tax refund amount with a very reasonable fee for the loan service.
How quickly can I get my tax advance?
Typically, customers at Titan Tax can get their tax advance the same day they apply for it with their W-2, 1099, or other income verification. We can begin processing these advances on January 2nd at the earliest.
What do I need to qualify for a tax advance?
To qualify for a tax advance, you’ll just need to visit a Titan Tax location with verification of your identity and income, such as your W-2 or 1099 forms and social security cards for yourself and dependents. Our expert staff will help you file your taxes to maximize your return before issuing your tax advance.
Are there any fees for a tax advance from Titan Tax?
We do not charge a fee for the advance itself. We charge our tax preparation fees which will be deducted from the refund when the IRS sends it and the remainder will be forward to you.
Can I apply for a tax advance if I have bad credit or don’t have a credit history?
Yes! A tax advance from Titan Tax does not require a credit check. You can receive an advance on your tax refund regardless of your credit history.
How much of my tax refund can I receive as an advance?
The amount of your tax refund that you can receive as an advance depends on your expected refund and the type of advance you choose. Titan Tax offers advances up to $7000.
Can I use my tax advance for anything, or is it restricted?
Use of your tax advance is not restricted, meaning you can use the funds however you choose.
How do I repay my tax advance?
Repayment for a tax advance is handled by direct deduction from your IRS refund. Once the IRS processes your refund, the proceeds will be deposited by the IRS to the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, who will deduct any loans and fees associated with your refund and forward the remaining balance to you.
